The Gym

I have decided that I like group fitness classes - no matter how much I suck, I have too much pride to quit so it is a sure fire way to make me stay at the gym and sweating for an hour. I have absolutely no rhythm - none, nada but I have been doing Zumba... After a few weeks, I thought that I had shaken the I look like a fat idiot with no rhythm feeling and then last Wed I go and my daughter's old teacher is teaching the class a several other teachers from her school are there.... Awkward but oh well over it - I am there for me, not anyone else.

I have been to the gym 5 times since last boobs weigh-in. I am really really hoping the scales reflects my efforts.  I have avoided it all week - not even a peek!

I am hear to tell you (mostly tell myself) that you have to workout to be successful - I know that all of you do.  I did not workout for a year after surgery and it was a really big shock to find out that I couldn't even do the workouts that I could do at 267lbs!! Heres to moving forward!

  1. Congrats on the gym efforts this week. I hope you see payoff at the scale too. :) And I agree... who CARES what anyone else thinks. It is your life and you are doing something. Get your Zumba on and have fun.

  2. Great attitude! I am very uncoordinated too, I tried Jazzercise and could never figure out how to go the same direction as everyone else! Keep it up!

  5. I didn't attend many classes my first year - mostly did the machines and Zumba. Now I'm embracing Bodyworks and Spin and am loving it! (if I can get myself there anyway. lol)

  6. Classes are awesome! I think you should totally take advantage of them at the gym. You get tons of motivation from having people seeing you every week (or however often). lol

    Way to go, girl. :)
