January Wrap-Up

Well, I did not meet my goals this month....  I didn't weigh in this morning (should have but I forgot).  I think that I probably lost a total of 3.5 lbs this month and I did manage 189 mins of exercise.  Here we go February - we are seriously upping things this month!!!!  Lets leave January in the dust :)

American Diabetes Association - School Walk for Diabetes


Mya is participating in the School Walk for Diabetes.  Her school did this last year as well.  Diabetes has had a significant impact on our family.  Additionally, it has an impact on her school because her PE Teacher suffers from Type I Diabetes. Here school does a lot on working with the kids to fight obesity with nutrition and emphasis on physical activity - I really like this about her school!

Fresh and Easy has pre-made ready to grill chicken burgers - slider size which is awesome.  Great bandster and family meal!!!  We had them a few nights ago and they were great!

A few pics Christmas day!





196 days, 28 weeks

So today, I have been banded for 28 weeks.... no special time frame.  I just wanted to see what my average loss per week is.  It is 1.63 lbs a week... a failure, no - I could be gaining!  Could I do better, for sure!

I am having a really hard time with balance.  Work, school, parenting and so on.  Exercising is always what gets cut because I am too tired and more than that, I feel guilty.  After working all day and barely spending any time with Mya it just seems so selfish to say well mom is going to the gym now....  I have to find a way to make it work.

We put up one tree.  Sadly still up….. Partially because I haven’t had a chance and partially because I am kinda sad there is so much build up and then it is over way to fast.  It will be coming down this weekend…. Hopefully!

3. How many total Christmases did you choose to have to attend outside of your home?

Four.

4. What are you most looking forward to this year?

Hopefully a nice vacay with the family and hopefully BOOBS!

Real life is finally calming down after the holidays.  It is nice to have my routine back!

In blogland, trying to blog more and catch up one reading!!  I fell way behind the last few weeks.  I am only 4 followers away from 100

Yesterday - Updates

Well water intake was great and so was food for the majority of the day.  I have to work really hard no to be so hungry by the time I get home that I shove the first thing in my mouth that I see (and usually end up sliming really bad).  I need to work on meal planning! 

I wore my size 18 pants to work yesterday.  They fit what would normally be considered well.  I am so used to trying to keep my 20/22 pants up (yes, I am still wearing those because them feeling big makes me feel more successful I think) that to me the 18s felt tight lol.  I did get complements so I must not have looked as bad as I felt. :)

I did not exercise yesterday.  I will be admitting daily whether I do or don't.  I think in the long run it will help me be more successful.

First Weigh-In of 2012

Weight: 222.4 lbs - no loss, no gain so I have to say I am ok with that considering my unhealthy choices over the past couple of weeks.  I have to say that I am glad to have the holidays over so that I can get back to a normal routine again.

Goals, goals.....  I am so hesitant to set any because so far I have not been able to accomplish them.

*I would like to get a minimum 360 minutes of exercise in this month.
*I would like to get to at least total loss of 50 lbs this month (at minimum 5.4 lbs). 

Hoping to start the New Year right :)

Happy New Year and Word for 2012!

Happy New Year to all of you!!  So many of you have made AMAZING changes and accomplishments in 2011!  I can only imagine what 2012 will bring!

My word for 2012:

move:
1.to pass from one place or position to another.
2.to advance or progress

I chose MOVE because as I have discussed many times I have issues getting exercise and I definitely need to MOVE more and that will help me tremendously with my goals.  But more that that this journey is so much about making the choice to MOVE forward with life and an new life style.  To make the decision to let go of the past and MOVE forward with a brighter and different outlook!
