I need knew running (more like walk/jogging hope to be a runner) shoes.... I have a wide foot and a big pronation problem!!! Anyone have good recommendations?
Go to a running store! It can be intimidating and a little more pricey (maybe around 150$ range) but it will save you from wasting a bunch of money on shoes that don't fit your feet.
You can try the Dicks Sporting Goods shoe finder on their website. That is how I found my perfect for me Brooks. I really love them and the shoe finder helped me ID lots of options. Also, the shoes were cheaper on line even with shipping. Good luck!
I have a wide foot and am partial to new balance. Go to Road Runner Sport or the Running Den. They put you on a treadmill and find you the perfect shoe or since you already know you have a wide foot and pronation issue, you could probably just talk to them and they'll find a good one for you. I did this a couple years ago when I was fatter and they were really nice. Since you're getting all thin and hot and whatnot, I'm sure they'll be extra nice to you. ;)
Im with MandaPanda - New Balance - hands down. I have a D wide foot and you can choose from what they have online in your width. I went to a running store 1st and had them tell me what 'type' of shoe I needed for what I wanted to do and then ordered it online in the wide width. Better price that way too - most running stores wont have wide widths in stock or only a few choices - My New Balance is the 883 - good for walking and super light. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI went to a wide shoe store to get my first pair of "good" shoes. As I lost weight, my feet shrank, so I can wear regular sizes now.
